We offer a a wide range of Carer Peer Support Groups that meet regularly in the community.
What are the benefits of coming to our Carer Peer Support Groups?
Attending a group gives you the chance to share experiences and support each other as equals. Together, you can build resilience and focus on what matters most in everyday life.
Caring can sometimes feel lonely, especially when others do not understand your situation. Meeting other Carers can help you feel less alone and connect with people who understand your experiences.
Peer support gives you space to talk openly, share ideas and learn from each other. You may discover practical ways to manage challenges, access support or balance caring with your own needs.
Carer peer support can also provide emotional and practical support. This may help you manage the pressures of caring and reduce the risk of Carer breakdown.
Unlike some other services, peer support brings together people with relevant lived experience. We offer a welcoming space where you can talk without judgement and share experiences confidentially.
Gain or share knowledge, exchange practical advice and offer emotional support. You can also enjoy social interaction and build connections with other Carers.
You do not have to manage everything alone.
Come along and meet other Carers who understand the challenges and rewards of caring.
If you cannot attend a local group because of your caring responsibilities, you can also explore Carers UK’s Online Meetups. These offer another way to connect with other Carers.
If you’re unable to make a group due to your caring role, please contact us.
