Scam Awareness Workshop

Fraud and scams are sadly on the rise.

Protecting yourself and your loved ones has never been more important. That is why we are offering a Scam Awareness Workshop, hosted by Barclays Bank.

During this informative workshop, you will explore the latest fraud trends and learn how criminals operate. The session will also highlight the devastating impact scams can have on both finances and wellbeing. More importantly, you will gain practical tools to protect yourself, your family, and the person you care for.

You will learn how to recognise suspicious activity, spot red flags, and understand the different types of scams currently in circulation. The workshop also offers clear, step-by-step advice on how to avoid falling victim. In addition, you will discover the correct way to report scams and seek help if needed.

Fraud is a serious issue across the UK. According to the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW), there were 4,159,000 reported incidents of fraud in the year up to March 2025. These figures show just how widespread the problem has become.

This session is designed to empower carers with knowledge and confidence. By attending, you will not only protect yourself but also strengthen the safety of those you care for.
