Learn, Cook, and Share Healthy Meals Together
Caring for someone can often mean quick meals or limited time for cooking, or suddenly becoming the Head Chef in the house when before you had only ever made cornflakes!
That’s why The Carers’ Support Service runs a monthly Cooking Club in Grimsby, designed to give carers practical skills and some much-needed time for themselves.
This group takes place on the
First Tuesday of every month
10:00 am to 12:00 pm
The Carers’ Support Service,
1 Town Hall Square, Grimsby
The Cooking Club is a friendly, hands-on session. Carers can learn to make healthy, nutritious meals on a budget. Each month, participants cook together, share tips, and enjoy trying new recipes. The whole family can benefit from these sessions! Cooking Club focuses on affordable ingredients and simple methods, making it easier to prepare balanced meals at home.
Whether you’re new to cooking or just looking for fresh ideas, you’ll be welcomed and supported by staff, and fellow carers.
Alongside learning new recipes, carers can connect with others, swap experiences, and build friendships in a relaxed environment. Many participants say the club helps reduce stress, boosts confidence in the kitchen, and brings more variety to family meals. The sessions are designed to be fun, supportive, and practical – giving carers a chance to focus on themselves as well as those they care for.
The Carers’ Support Service has supported unpaid carers across North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire for over 30 years. As well as groups like Cooking Club, we offer free, confidential advice, wellbeing support, and guidance. By joining in with this session, you can improve your cooking skills while also gaining access to wider support for your caring role.
Places are limited, so booking is recommended.
