Caring for someone with a life-limiting condition can feel overwhelming. The Carers of adults with life limiting conditions peer support group offers a compassionate space for unpaid carers to connect and find strength.

Hosted in partnership with Lindsey Lodge Hospice, our sessions take place on the

last Thursday of every month* from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at

Lindsey Lodge Hospice, Burringham Road,

Scunthorpe, DN17 2AA.

Lindsey Lodge Hospice provides specialist palliative care, symptom management, wellbeing services, and emotional support for patients, families, and carers in North Lincolnshire.  More information about Lindsey Lodge can be found here:

Each gathering welcomes carers caring for adults with life-limiting illnesses—whether or not the cared-for person has any current link to the hospice. At these sessions, you can openly share experiences and challenges in a friendly, understanding environment.

Our facilitator leads open discussions, supports signposting to services like Dementia Direct, benefits advice, or Counselling.

Lindsey Lodge staff attend to offer additional wellbeing insights or information about hospice services. Together, we explore coping strategies, resilience tools, and ways to maintain personal wellbeing.

The Carers Support Service and Dementia Direct has supported unpaid carers across North and North East Lincolnshire since 1989. Our expertise covers peer groups, training, holistic therapies, information, and emotional support. This peer support group builds on this tradition, blending community connection with practical, compassionate care.
