NEL Carers Supporting Carers Group
Caring for a loved one can be rewarding, but it can also be demanding, exhausting, and sometimes lonely. Whether you’re looking after a family member, friend, or neighbour who cannot manage without support, finding people who understand your challenges can make a huge difference. The Carers Supporting Carers Group— is a friendly, welcoming space for unpaid carers to meet, share, and connect.
This group meets on the
Third Tuesday of each month
10.30am -12.30pm
Scartho Community Hub, St Giles Avenue, Scartho, DN33 2HB
You don’t need to book— but you can call us for more information if you wish!
Simply drop in on the sessions on the days when you can. Our sessions are relaxed and informal. This gives you the chance to take a break from your caring responsibilities while enjoying friendly conversation and mutual support.
Peer support is about more than just chatting—it’s about building a network of people who “get it.” Here, you can share your own experiences, hear from others in similar situations, and exchange practical tips on topics like managing health appointments, accessing local services, balancing self-care with your caring role, and navigating benefits or funding support.
The group is facilitated by the team at The Carers Support Service, who are on hand to offer free, confidential advice and guidance tailored to your needs. Whether you need information on carers’ rights, emotional support, or signposting to specialist help, we’re here for you.
Joining this group could be the first step toward feeling less isolated, more confident, and better supported in your role. You don’t have to care alone—there’s a community here for you.
