Young Adult Carers Peer Support Group
Are you an unpaid carer aged between 18 and 25 living in North East Lincolnshire?
Caring for someone—whether it’s a family member, partner, or friend—can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging, especially when you’re juggling education, work, and social life. That’s why the Carers Support Service runs a Young Adult Carers Peer Support Group, designed specifically for people like you.
This friendly, relaxed group meets:
Third Wednesday of the month
Carers’ Support Service,
1 Town Hall Square, Grimsby, DN31 1HY
4pm -5pm
Here, you can:
– Chat with other young adult carers who understand your experiences
– Enjoy a drink and some well-earned time for yourself
– Share tips, ideas, and coping strategies in a safe space
– Learn more about local support, activities, and opportunities
There’s no need to book—just come along and join us. If you’d like to talk to a member of our team before the group session to see if it is for you, we’re always happy to chat.
The Carers Support Service provides free and confidential help for unpaid carers in North and North East Lincolnshire. As well as peer groups like this, we offer emotional support, training, benefits guidance, counselling, and activities to improve wellbeing. Our aim is to help you balance caring with your own needs, ambitions, and happiness.
Take a couple of hours for yourself, meet new people, and connect with a supportive community that values what you do.
