North Lincolnshire Carer Voice – Speaking Up for Unpaid Carers

Carer’s Voice is an independent group of unpaid carers who actively make sure their voices are heard. The group highlights the needs of carers and the people they support across North Lincolnshire.

Meetings take place at

Ashby Hub, Ashby High Street,

Scunthorpe, DN16 2UT,

from 10:30 am to 11:30 am

Every month, members meet to share experiences, raise issues, and suggest ideas for change. Local health, social care, and community services regularly consult Carer’s Voice. These organisations rely on members to provide honest feedback about current support and suggest where improvements should happen.

The group develops projects that directly benefit unpaid carers in the community. These projects improve access to information, strengthen peer support networks, and prioritise carers’ wellbeing. By attending, carers influence decisions that affect daily life and shape the future of local services.

Sessions are friendly, open, and inclusive. Everyone is welcome, whether you are new to caring or have supported a loved one for many years.

Carer’s Voice values different perspectives and welcomes new members. Every story counts, and together, carers create meaningful change in the community. By taking part, carers improve services, build confidence, and connect with others in similar situations.

The Carers’ Support Service has supported unpaid carers in North Lincolnshire for over 30 years. By joining Carer’s Voice, carers gain the chance to drive real change while accessing free, confidential support and guidance.
