NL Photography Tuition 2026

Our Photography Tuition sessions give carers the chance to learn new skills in a relaxed, supportive setting. Whether you are completely new to photography or already enjoy taking pictures, these classes provide practical guidance to help you get more from your camera, tablet, or mobile phone.

Held weekly in Brigg on a Thursday, with the exception of Bank Holidays, the 1-hour bookable sessions cover a wide range of techniques including lighting, framing, composition, and focus. The tutor explains each step clearly, with time to practice and ask questions. You’ll also have the opportunity to bring along photos for feedback and advice.

These sessions are designed with carers in mind. They provide time away from your usual routine, offering a chance to focus on something creative and enjoyable. Many carers find that photography helps them slow down, notice more in their surroundings, and capture moments that matter to them.

The classes are suitable for all levels, so you don’t need any previous experience. If you have been caring for years or are new to the role, you will find encouragement and practical tips to build your skills at your own pace.

The Carers’ Support Service has been supporting unpaid carers in North and North East Lincolnshire for nearly 30 years. Alongside groups, training, and wellbeing activities, these photography sessions are part of our commitment to helping carers look after their own wellbeing as well as those they care for.
