Angel Club for Substance Use Carers
The Angel Club welcomes unpaid carers supporting loved ones facing substance or alcohol misuse. You are not alone.
This peer support group meets on
alternative Wednesdays from 2pm to 4pm at Grimsby Carers’ Support Centre,
located at 1 Town Hall Square, Grimsby, DN31 1HY.
Please note that this group does not run on bank holidays
No booking is required—just walk in and join us.
At Angel Club, you’ll find understanding individuals and practical advice in a caring atmosphere. Share your experiences openly and receive guidance from fellow carers who truly understand your journey. Our facilitators connect you to the Carers Support Service’s broader support network.
The support for Carers who are supporting someone with with substance use includes:
-Training Opportunities
– A dedicated Keyworker
-Relaxation opportunities
-Advice and guidance
-Emotional Support
We empower carers with confidential, free services across North and North East Lincolnshire. We offer benefits guidance, counselling, peer support groups, training, and wellbeing activities, tailored to your individual needs.
Angel Club also helps you make positive changes and find balance in your caring role. You will build friendships, learn new coping strategies, and access local resources for carers of all experiences.

Angel Club sits alongside other peer support groups such as Dementia Café, Carers Choir, and Peer Support Networks. Through these, carers build resilience, reduce isolation, and find strength.
